Kleshie Bellman pieces are very rare these days. They were hand made pieces so not mass produced.
Kleshie Bellman was a mid 20-th century British fashion designer. She was born in London in 1896 to the family of Polish descent. She lived and operated out of Hemel Hempstead.
She was famous throughout the 1950s and 60s for her high quality hand-made knitwear, distinctive hostess dresses exclusive children's clothing. Her hand-crafted garments were retailed internationally, though major department stores. There are virtually no other of her pieces available for sale right now.
This is a beautiful, well made, high quality piece. It is a three piece set. Skirt with two jackets of differing lengths.
It is made from 100% wool in black with a ribbon plait detailing.
It comes with with two jackets. One long and one short.
The long jacket fastens to the front of the neck with one button.
It has long sleeves with flared cuffs.
With two pockets.
Fully lined.
The shorter jacket fasten to top of the neck with a hook fastening.
It has long sleeves and two pockets.
Fully lined.
Comes with a straight fitting skirt that fastens to the side with a zip and two hooks on an inner elasticated waist band.
